Inspirational few days in Milan for annual design fair @isaloniofficial a kaleidoscope of international talent and ideas. Fantastic touring exhibition Detour by @moleskinefoundation celebrating artists and their creative musings on paper with hundreds of little sketchbooks adapted and teeming with ideas and thoughts and collectibles alongside Raphael’s original vast cartoon from 1520s spread across over 200 leaves of paper that he assembled into a single panel with full size figures. I found Tangerines in Tangiers! So lovely to spend a few days exploring this ancient trading port, a gateway between Africa and Europe and staying in the serenity of @villamabrouka formerly the home of Yves Saint Laurent with its magical gardens teeming with tropical birds colourful flowers and butterflies - all of us soaking up the Spring sunshine. ...

Thrilled to finally meet my long-time hero today, @esdevlin a truly inspirational figure and trailblazer for women in design everywhere. Lucky to chat with Es after the talk while she signed copies of her new monograph and connect with her over concepts I’m exploring in my PhD of suspending belief and making magic through our creative practices - also to discuss the legacy of the late and very great Mark Fisher (my former tutor at AA architectural school) with whom she worked including the sets for U2 Innocence + Experience tour and the Olympics closing ceremony London 2012. #internationalwomensday #womenindesign #entertainmentarchitecture ...
