Stripping out at King’s Cross
Work has now started on site at the house and studio development at King’s Cross. It’s great to see it finally being stripped out and taken back to the original black and white painted brick walls which has revealed cast iron brackets where the stall dividers would have been when it was formerly used as stables for the Midland Railways. Pieces of old leather tack and horse bits have also been found blocking the drains in the main courtyard.
This project is being run in two phases, the front building is due to complete this Summer and the rear building in February 2015.
